Annual Safety Inspection

Perkins Twin Tire, LLC is a licensed safety inspection station serving Altavista, VA, Lynch Station, VA, Hurt, VA, and surrounding areas.

The Safety Inspection Process

During a safety inspection, an authorized service technician will remove your old inspection sticker and drive the vehicle into the inspection lane.

Once in the inspection lane, the following automotive systems and parts are inspected:

• Brakes
• Parking Brake
• Headlights
• Other Lights
• Signal Device
• Steering & Suspension
• Tires, Wheels & Rims
• Mirrors
• Horn
• Windshield Wiper & Defroster
• Mirrors
• Windshield Wiper/Defroster
• Exhaust System
• Rear License Plate
• Hood & Under Hood
• Air Pollution Control System (1973 & Newer Model Vehicles)
• Driver's Seat
• Seat Belts
• Air Bag & Airbag Readiness Light
• Doors (left & right of driver's seat)
• Fuel System
• Floor Pan

Upon passing the safety inspection, you'll be issued a new sticker. If your vehicle fails the inspection, you'll receive a rejection sticker valid for 15 days. You'll have that time to correct the defects and have the vehicle reinspected.
